Our
Foundation
Welcome to our website! Floraglades Foundation is a non-profit
organization devoted to environmental, research, and educational
purposes--with a particular focus on preserving the environment of
south-central Florida. We currently manage two preserves,
Floraglades Preserve and Moya Preserve, both located in Glades
County. Occasionally, we open them to small groups who wish to be
led on guided walking tours. Within their 200 acres, these
preserves have a variety of habitats, from oak hammocks to cypress
swamps. Our wildlife includes deer, turkey, bear, bobcat, otter,
barred owl, and many others--even an occasional Florida
panther. |
